I use colour to evoke a feeling. So many colours. So many feelings! I love vibrant and bold colours. They speak to me the loudest. I hope you find a colour pallet here that you relate to.
“What color is in a picture, enthusiasm is in life.”―
I draw inspiration from all around me. From the shapes to the collage images. The first part of my process begins on the computer with Photoshop. I collect images and draw out my echo art lines. Then I move things around and adjust until I’m happy with the composition and colours. All my images are then printed digitally as Chromogenic prints. Also known as a c-print in the photography world. This printing process involves light, not ink. The next step is to hand stain the 1 1/2″ think wood frames. They look so beautiful after the staining! Next I mount the photo and tape up the edges to keep that beautiful stain safe for the next exciting step, the resin coating! This is my favourite part. It takes a lot of patience and a keen eye to get out all the bubbles and floaters but in the end, it’s so worth it! After 72 hours, the resin coating is finally cured and I can enjoy all my hard work.
